Ross Rayburn was introduced as a professional con, hired by Todd Manning to help kidnap his kids from his then-estranged wife Blair. Later but he ended up stranded on a dessert island with Todd and Téa Delgado. Ross and Téa would eventually marry after Todd left the island. Téa became pregnant and Ross spent years believing the child to be his, but it was actually Todd’s. When the truth came out, Ross flipped out. He kidnapped his daughter, Dani, at gunpoint along with Blair Cramer and eventually wound up cornered on a bridge by police where he tried to convince Dani to jump off with him. Todd shot Ross and Ross fell in, presumably to his death. However, he survived and escaped to Tahiti, eventually revealing himself to Dani and telling her to make amends with Todd. Ross later helped his brother Eli in a scheme to get custody of Dani but eventually learned that Eli didn’t intend for him to keep Dani. But it was too late for Ross as Eli shot and killed his brother to keep him quiet. |

Yes. While Ross’ desperate actions were at times extreme and reprehensible, it was clear that he did love Dani and did not intend for people to be hurt. His desperation just often led him to get in over his head. |
